Our mission is to change the world of education recruitment and retention. The long-running recruitment and retention crisis in education is a global phenomenon. Globally, 44 million additional teachers need to be recruited to meet universal primary and secondary education requirements in 2030.

In the US, the need for Subs is growing exponentially. Many schools require subs from day 1 of every school year. This disproportionally affects low-income and minority students. And the need is especially acute with our special needs students. There’s a multi-generational failure of educating the next generation of Americans to succeed.

In the UK, schools spend over £2bn a year on agency staff, with over £600m per year of that spent on fees that go straight to the recruitment agencies. So far, in the UK, Opogo has saved schools over £5MM in supply teaching recruitment costs, and that number grows every day, meaning the funding can be put back into education within the schools. 

In 2023, building on the success of Opogo in the UK, we launched Opogo Education in the US based in Florida. With significant early traction we're looking to expand this team to continue driving growth.
